Worship Services

Worship is all about doing what pleases Him!  So, on Saturday mornings we gather as a church family at 10:00 a.m. for praise through music, story-telling, prayer, praise, fellowship and Bible teaching.  Join us in the main auditorium here at our church on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.

What is worship?  Worship is when we give God praise, adoration and honor through our voice, heart and life.  God loves to hear our praises (Ps. 22:3) in word and song.  However, worship is much more than what we we say or do one day a week - worship is how we live our lives completely abandoned for God ever day of the week (see Romans 12:1-2)!

What's so special about "corporate" worship?  Corporate worship is worship that happens when believers gather and worship God together.  Is that kind of worship important to God?  The Bible has many, many examples in both the Old and New Testaments of God acknowledging His people's corporate worship of Him and doing amazing things as a result (see Acts 1-2, for example).  Ultimately, we're admonished to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together" (Heb. 10:25) as we near the return of Jesus Christ.

Why do we come together for corporate worship on Saturday?  The short answer is, "because Jesus did."  In Luke 4:16, we're told Jesus had a custom of going to the synagogue (a place of worship and instruction) on the Sabbath day.  We worship God every day, but God calls us to experience a special spiritual rest and rejuvination in His presence on the Sabbath day.  At creation, God set aside the seventh day of the week and blessed it - for us (Gen. 2:2-3; Mark 2:27-28)!  What a huge privilege to enter into God's rest like Jesus and his apostles did (see Heb. 4:9; Acts 16:13; 17:2).
